Welded expansion joints
Welded expansion joints by Gambit are designed for fume canals where continuous work temperature is less than 260 °C. They can also operate wherever periodical temperature drops and saturation point occur, provided that no fluorine compounds are present. When liquids condensate from gases, highly aggressive acids are formed. Because of their advantages, welded expansion joints are also recommended for systems demanding higher tightness and chemical resistance.
Textiles applied to welded joints are layered with PTFE on both sides. Thanks to this advantage, they are resistant to most chemically aggressive media and next layers are protected against acids. Moreover, compared to sewed ones, the welded joints guarantee higher tightness and definitely higher mechanical strength. Similarly to sewed joints, the welded ones can be flanges and sleeves. They are usually made of many layers, of both insulating and sealing features.
We have been certified for using textiles in systems where explosion risk occurs and these in contact with food.
All information in this catalogue is based on years of experience in manufacture and use of the discussed products. Since sealing performance in the joint is subject to multiple factors such as mounting method, system parameters, and sealed medium, technical parameters specified herein are of informative nature only and cannot be used as grounds for any claims; any special uses of products are subject to consulting with the manufacturer.
