Carbon footprint

Organizational Carbon Footprint Assessment
Environmental reporting requirements are becoming standard across European industry. In-creasingly, customers expect their suppliers not only to deliver high-quality products, but also to provide reliable information on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the environmental impact of their operations.

In response to these expectations, Gambit has completed an organizational carbon footprint assessment in accordance with the internationally recognized GHG Protocol Corporate Ac-counting and Reporting Standard, which establishes the principles for accounting and report-ing greenhouse gas emissions. The assessment covered the full range of emissions: Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and Scope 3 (all other indirect emissions generated throughout the value chain). The results provide a robust envi-ronmental data baseline that supports informed business decision-making, decarbonization initiatives, and compliance with the growing expectations of customers and the market.

Environmental Data for Informed Decision-Making
Calculating an organizational carbon footprint is more than a reporting exercise – it is a practi-cal management tool that supports informed business decisions.
The assessment provides valuable insights into the sources of greenhouse gas emissions, en-abling the company to identify emission hotspots, prioritize reduction opportunities, and re-spond effectively to increasing customer expectations regarding environmental transparency.

Continuous Improvement
The organizational carbon footprint assessment marks the starting point for further decarbonization initiatives. Based on the results, areas with the greatest potential for emission reductions have been identified and will be progressively optimized as part of the company's continuous improvement strategy.

Gambit Lubawka Sp. z o.o. has set a goal of reducing the organization's total greenhouse gas emissions by at least 5% by 2035, compared to the 2025 baseline.

The goal encompasses the total greenhouse gas emissions included in the organization's carbon footprint inventory, prepared in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. Progress towards achieving the goal will be monitored based on subsequent periodic emission inventories.

The project strengthens Gambit's capabilities in environmental data management while sup-porting the ongoing development of decarbonization initiatives, environmental assessments, and alignment with the evolving requirements of customers, business partners, and the market.
