Answers to questions about the request for quotation No. ZP / 2016/10/1
the purchase, delivery and assembly of calender for forming the gasket sheets

Now, we would like to request clarification on some of the points in Attachment 4 to the Request of Quotation ZP/2016/10/1. Point 1.2 of Description/Technical Data states that the setting of the cooling roll in a relation to the heating roll shall be an angle of 30 degrees ±5° from the horizontal position. At this moment it is understood that rolls at a 30 degree angle from each other would not create required clearance through which the material can pass. Our specialists would like to request a schematic of how the material shall pass through the rolls in such configuration. This would help greatly in the understanding of the overall configuration of the station and would also help to avoid further misunderstandings.

In accordance to the specification available in attachment No. 4 of the quotation ZP/2016/10/1, pressure drum (cooling drum) should be shifted in the toward direction to the operator. This configurations causes that the contact line of the two drums is inclined to the horizontal plane (floor) with an angle 30 deg ±5 deg. This means that the drums will not be twisted.

Purchaser explained that hasn't got the scheme which bidder requires, because of that scheme is a part of the technical documentation of the concrete machine/model provided by contractor.

We’d be grateful if you could also elaborate on the way the calander drives shall be mounted. Point 1.11 of Description/Technical Data only states that the engines shall be positioned on the right side of the calander, with no mention of the material from which the mounts for the drives shall be manufactured or other requirements on the way the drives shall be mounted.

The detailed description of the order doesn’t consist information about the way of the drive’s mounting. Therefore isn’t there a special requirements. Moreover technical description doesn’t consist special requirements to the bill of material of the drive system. Purchaser didn’t specify this issue, therefore the bidder should offer adequate solution on its own. In the other hand the purchaser claimed that the device has to be complete and be ready to use by user without any additional purchases. All important min. parameters which should be provided are listed in the attachment 4 of the technical specification concluded in the quotation No . ZP/2016/10/1 .

What is the minimum and maximum working temperature of the cooling roll?

In accordance to the specification ZP/2016/10/1 the maximum and minimum temperature of the cooling roll in no specified. It is hard to determine suspected temperature of the cooling roll because of forming material has very high influence on  the rools’ temperature during production stage. In accordance to the specification ZP/2016/10/1 the temperature of the cooling roll should be uniform in along the roll with maximum deviation ± 1 C deg.

In accordance to the specification ZP/2016/10/1 the maximum temperature of the heating roll is 180 C deg. The minimum temperature of the heating roll is 150 C deg.

In accordance to the specification ZP/2016/10/1 the maximum gasket sheet is at least 6 mm so the maximum opening between the roll should be enough In order to provide easily disarming gasket sheet from the heating roll.
